A concept: An adventuring party made entirely of people of one race disguised as people of another. The disguises are really bad, like the “dwarf” is just a halfling with a fake beard, the “orc” is an elf with body paint and novelty teeth, and the dragonborn is just three goblins in a trenchcoat- but none of them have any experience with any of the races in question and are trying not to draw attention to their own disguises, so all of them are fully prepared to accept any oddity on the part of their party members.
The halfling, having just been caught taking off their beard in private so they can breathe: ….this is normal for dwarves The goblins, who were looking for somewhere private that they can crawl out of the trenchcoat: Acceptable, have a nice day

i think it was lost in the anime adaptation how genuinely confused hohenheim was when he came back. like in brotherhood he seems so stoic and All Knowing but in the manga he’s just like i dont get it….wheres my house…last time i was here i had a wife and a house where are they…….

Party collectively: “We’d like to walk behind the nearest street corner. There, our two druids transform into horses, our bard and rogue saddle up, and we come back in a while, with apologies for our two nature-lover friends who couldn’t bear to see animals used in such ways for fun.”
DM as DM, stifling laughter: “……. O-fucking-K. Moving on to the race, I’d like the, oh dear, the druids to roll Athletics to see how you do, and the riders… Umm…”
Rogue OOC: “I wanna check Acrobatics, I’ll be doing flips and handstands all the way, since I don’t really need to tell my steed what to do!”
Bard OOC: “I’m an excellent rider (smug wink) but I’ve never in my life been on a horse, so I would like to use a Performance check to fake looking like I know what the fuck I’m doing up there.”
DM as DM, breaking down in both tears and laughter: “Sure, what the hell, let’s do all those things.”
There should be a season of the Pokemon Anime where Ash’s companions are just team rocket. They just travel and bicker and horse around all while Ash tries to keep them from sliding back into their criminal ways.
They don’t even need a redemption arc, they just agree to hold off being criminals for a few months and then go back to being villains next season.
