im weirdly knowlagable in the history of soda i dont even drink soda why do i know so much about it

coke and pepsi taste different because coke was invent before refrigeration so it was designed to be drunk warm, while pepsi was designed after refrigeration was invented so it was designed to be drunk cold. as a result the tastes are different but if you drink pepsi cold and coke warm theyll taste the same.

Why the fuck do you know this

i honestly have no idea

coke’s recipe was originally green but the designers made it brown so it looked more like tea

Had they never seen green tea?

i dont even know if green tea was invented in 1886 but they wanted to make the public more open to eating the fizzy drink

Green tea was invented in the 13th century and made up 22% of the tea thrown off the ship in the Boston Tea Party

alan i know about soda not green tea

i will trade u information abt bees and carrier pigeons for information abt the history of soda

no one knows where the origin of the name ‘7up’ started but it did have a mood stabilizer in the original recipe found in present day anti-depressants

i want facts about bees and carrier pigeons now

Carrier pigeons come from a species of Wild Rock pigeon, and their flights could be as long as 1800 km and were used as early as 3000 years ago.

You know in old cartoons where a character throws a beehive at someone, and you think ‘lol, but that wouldn’t work in real life’. Turns out it would, and did. People used to lob beehives at the approximate location of the enemy forces to expose them.

this is amazing thank you

Threads like this are pretty much the reason I come to Tumblr

Do you know how fucking HARD this is!? Turtles die of old age, naturally, that’s why they live so long. They rarely get sick and don’t have illnesses such as cancer or even the common cold, naturally occurring. So, for there to be turtle specific herpes……..it’s not a good sign.

This is really sad

So I googled this and apparently these turtles carry the herpes virus latently- that is theyre infected but they don’t have symptoms or problems. Stress is what causes these viruses to pop back up and lots of things cause stress. Even the wrong microbial environment can fuck this up. Human activity puts a huge amount of stress on these animals and their environment and as a result their immune system cannot keep the virus in check. We’re exhausting these animals into disease.

Time for another story time of outfits in Dream Boyfriend!

This time Kisuke was out for a jog, stopping to take a sip of water when someone ran up to him to confess with a rose.  Really, he only got more Vain after that, haha. (The wings are just what the girl is imagining him to be like, BTW)

Jeon-kun and Sami-tan’s outfits are related this time, but only by location.

Jeon-kun is a werewolf (ignore the deer tail from the outfit!!) that deals cards in an underwater casino that’s made for magical beings to relax.  Even if a human managed to get down there, there’s an anonymous spell that covers everyone’s faces.

Sami-tan is a dragon prince looking for someone to marry. (I’ve never used that SR outfit b4, so I shoved it in!)  He also has incredible luck (since he’s a dragon), so that’s the Fortune Dog item that makes red banners on the top.  He is in a separate section of the casino that’s like a throne room.
I imagine his grandfather was the one who created the casino and since he wasn’t next in line, they sent Sami to go deal with the casino.  Maybe Jean met Sami when the prince arrived and explained the casino games to him because Sami had never played…

What secret will you take to your grave?

In Dutch, when you boil an egg and then place it into cold water to make it easier to peel an egg, it’s called “to scare” the eggs.

One day when I was about 6 or 7, my mom asked me to “scare” the eggs. So, little joker I was, lifted the lid of the pan and yelled “BOOO!”

My mom cracked up and has been telling this story ever since, for over 20 years. She’s come to love the story and still truly thinks that I wanted to really “scare” the eggs. Truth is I knew what “scaring an egg” meant and only wanted to make her laugh because she was in a sad place and time back then.

It’s made her laugh for over 20 fucking years, that means it’s the best joke I’ve ever pulled off and I’d die before I’d let her find out I was just kidding.

When I was a child I was afraid of the moon. I used to think that the sky was a giant raven and the moon changing phases was its slowly blinking eye, watching me.

Draw the giant space raven.

This one gave me a lot of inspiration.

SKY RAVEN!! HECK YEAH!! Favorite bird and an awesome concept? Heck yeah. Awesome art? Double heck yeah!! Thank you so much for sharing this with the rest of us! I love it so much!
